I am 48 years old years old and have been uninsured for five years. I don’t have any coverage because when I have tried to get it, I have been told I don’t make enough money. I am legally blind and need glasses. However, I can’t afford them without insurance so I can’t see right. The benefits of receiving health coverage are being able to go to a doctor and not putting off treatment for something because you are afraid of the bills.
